A gentle way to work with the stories you tell yourself.
ReStory is a small, self-guided tool for moments when your inner narrative feels stuck, harsh, or on repeat. It helps you pause, notice what’s being said, and rewrite it into something kinder and more supportive.
No account required. Designed for small, manageable shifts — not “fixing.”
Most of us don’t struggle because we lack insight. We struggle because the same inner sentences keep repeating — especially when we’re tired, overwhelmed, or hurting.
ReStory helps you slow down long enough to hear those sentences, soften them, and rewrite them into language that feels more honest, steady, and livable.
What it is
- A quiet space to reflect
- A way to put language around inner experience
- A tool for small, manageable shifts
- Self-guided and private
What it isn’t
- Therapy
- Advice or diagnosis
- A replacement for professional support
- A “fix yourself” or productivity app
How it works
ReStory guides you through a short sequence that helps you understand yourself better — so you can feel better, too. There’s no “right answer.”
ReStory simply helps you:
- Notice what’s repeating
- Name what you’re feeling or believing
- Gently rewrite the story that’s keeping you stuck
- Leave with a version that fits you, right now
ReStory doesn’t try to “fix” everything.
It’s designed for the in-between moments — real life — when something feels off, but you don’t want (or can’t) unpack your entire life.
Why ReStory Exists
ReStory is grounded in neuroscience, psychology, and lived experience. It’s a small work of passion created by a former psychologist — and a parent of neurodivergent young adults — who has seen firsthand how overwhelming inner stories can become, both in the therapy room and at the kitchen table.
Again and again, the same need shows up: tools that actually help in the moment. Tools that don’t require appointments, perfect insight, or saying the “right” thing — just a way to soften the inner stories that keep us stuck.
ReStory is an attempt to make what we know from research and clinical practice more accessible: small, science‑informed ways to pause, shift perspective, and practice kindness toward ourselves — anytime, anywhere.
